I SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM (NO CHURN RECIPE)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 kg strawberries, must be ripe and organic (for best flavour ), hulled and halved

  • 1 tbsp white sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • 395g sweetened condensed milk

  • 500 ml full fat cream


METHOD

  1. Halve strawberries, lay on baking paper and sprinkle with sugar. Roast in the oven at 160 degrees on a low heat for 1 hour.

  2. Scrape strawberries into a food processor and blitz. Set aside to cool.

  3. Once cooled whip with condensed milk and vanilla together. Set aside.

  4. In a seperate bowl whip the cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the strawberry and cream mixture together. One combined pop in the freezer until firm (about 12 hours).
