Although fleeting we all love when our organic apricot trees are in fruit. Apricots are particularly flavoursome with a pleasant, fruity aroma and juicy flesh.

Apricots are great eaten fresh but can also be poached, stewed, pureed or baked. As a sweet fruit, apricots are used in many dessert dishes including crumbles, strudels and pies as well as the main meal (let’s not forget about the humble apricot chicken that’s crispy, sweet and  savoury – it’s everything we love in a home cooked meal).

Apricots are a good source of vitamin C and vitamin A with some vitamin E, potassium and dietary fibre.


Ripen apricots at room temperature before storing in the refrigerator.
